Archie Lewis-Harris is a composer, musician, producer, and actor. A valued collaborator, he offers diligence and commitment to projects, and creates moving and aesthetic scores.
Films Archie has scored have been recognized at film festivals such as the Woodstock Film Festival, The NY New Filmmakers Film Festival, The Austin Film Festival, The Shakespeare Shorts Film Festival, The Williamsburg Film Festival, The Global Climate Film Festival, the NYU Sports film festival, and the NYU Tisch and NYU Global Health’s Critical Life-Saving Communications Program.
As well as the selected credits that are released films, Archie has a multitude of films in the works that he is scoring, including two feature-length films: One More Weekend directed by Jack Diaz, and Good Friday directed by Jason Mendoza.
In addition to composing for film, Archie has composed the original score for several live theater productions, composed many independent works, and has collaborated to write several songs, one of them being the released Stolen Love, with Donna Lewis.
As a musician, Archie is a classically trained pianist and clarinetist, who has played in a number of ensembles including several acclaimed New York State and regional orchestras.
Archie is passionate about, and has also been involved with the recording, mixing, and producing process. In NYU he has done music editing work for other composers and set up Pro Tools sessions for recording sessions. Over the summer of 2022, he interned at the Clubhouse Recording Studio in upstate New York, where he set up the studio for recording sessions as well as engineered. He also was an assistant to guitarist and composer David Torn on a Carter Burwell recording session in New York city—in which David was playing on—for an upcoming film Carter scored.
When not writing, playing, or recording music, Archie is passionate about acting, both on and off the screen; and crewing on film sets. He also enjoys playing tennis in his free time.
